I have been following you from very early on and normally like your kids, but this one got a good 10 minutes in to set up the bare bones. Couple in Texas, wife dead. No character despite the trove of social media posts. Also, for a well spoken Brit you have a bad habit of butchering pronunciation.

She might have been told by family and friends that she shouldn't marry a man almost twice her age. And she ignored them. Which explains why they were quiet about their relationship. I remember this story well. It was a shock to learn this "trash streaming" even exists - like how youtube doesn't ban it? But six years is very expected for this type of crime in Russia. We don't even have life without parole formally and only do it for something like serial killers just denying them a parole. But don't be fooled: yes, he spent only three years in prison and got work release for the rest of three years. But most even low-ranking jobs in Russia have "no criminal record" requirement. So his life is over if he ever had it. No legal job, no education... Ah well nothing would really change, he had neither even before. He'll return to prison in no time or die from overdose/alcohol poisoning.
